Time To Talk at RHA

Posted on by Gavin Holley

Good mental wellbeing and supporting the Time To Change charity is very important to us all at Rhondda Housing Association. In a bid to get our colleagues & communities talking about mental health, we invited them to a day long event with differing activities for the annual Time To Talk event on Thursday 2nd February 2017.  Our aim was help break down the stigma and discrimination that surrounds people with a mental illness and reinforce to our colleagues and tenants the support mechanisms we offer and the partnership organisations that can also help.

By joining forces with the Time to Change charity then we offered activities such as Brunch & Babble, showed the Black Dog & Living With The Black Dog films and launched our new Mental Wellbeing policy with a consultation at our Tea & Talk session.  Our event was one of hundreds that took place across Wales and the U.K. which tackled the awkwardness people feel when talking about mental health problems and how we can all help.
