RHA takes on the Rhondda Rollercoaster!

Posted on by Gavin Holley

As part of our ongoing health and well-being initiatives our in-house wellbeing programme – Hapus has organised and sponsored 13 colleagues entry to the Rhondda Rollercoaster. The Rhondda Rollercoaster is a 16 or 26.5 mile walking challenge that explores the famous and stunning Rhondda Valleys and this massive challenge will see our colleagues fundraising for our Charity of the Year – Alzheimer’s Society Cymru.

For a number of staff members who didn’t take regular exercise, this has meant buying new clothing and, equipment and a real commitment to taking some regular exercise to prepare for the day. Please wish Leigh, Liam , Tracey, Simone , Niall , Anthony, Lisa, Leigh , Ken, Sarah, Sophie, Nigel , Gavin & Richard all the very best.

If you are able please donate towards to their Just Giving Page: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/RhonddaHousingAssociation

This scenically beautiful route starts in Trehafod, visiting Mynydd y Glyn, Mynydd Dinas, Mynydd William Meyrick, the Bwlch and Ferndale before returning to Trehafod via the iconic Tylorstown tip. The event was held for the first time in 2011 and is organised by the South Wales Group of the Long Distance Walkers Association (LDWA).

Wish us luck!
