The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Cymru have announced their shortlists for the Welsh Housing Awards 2017 and we are delighted to be shortlisted in two categories.
CIH is the independent voice for housing and the home of professional standards so the prestigious awards are Welsh housing’s biggest good practice sharing scheme. The awards are across ten categories reflecting the priorities and challenges facing the housing sector and individuals or small teams whose passion, enthusiasm and commitment has made a real difference to the lives of others.
Our fantastic tenant board member Janet Mulcock is in the running for Housing Hero Award. And our Tenant Assessors Group is shortlisted for their incredible hard work in the Empowering & Involving Communities award. A very special congratulations to all those involved!
It’s been a really good year for RHA winning the BITC Wales Responsible Business Award in the Wellbeing at work category in June. Plus being shortlisted in the national CIPD awards (winner announced later this month). These coupled with the fantastic news above then this is demonstrating our strength in different areas of the business and we are incredibly proud of our achievements.
CIH Cymru director Matt Dicks said:
“It’s fantastic to be able to announce our shortlists, and to get down to the business of sharing all the great learning that’s contained in the applications. Our team are busy compiling the Good Practice Compendium, which we’re publishing free of charge, and available to all, to make sure that good practice isn’t just something we talk about, but that we ensure it gets shared with all parts of the profession.”
