We feel passionate about supporting and empowering our senior tenants and helping them to combat isolation. Some of these groups are under-represented in community projects and we want to offer them something different that will encourage them to meet new people, learn new skills and create and nurture new hobbies whilst improving their health and well being.
Almost 50% of our tenants are over fifty years of age and at times some of our tenants can face issues such as social isolation & stigmatisation, or a lack of opportunity to meet other community members & share skills and life experiences.
Through our work we aim to build self confidence and strengthen social cohesion and to address negative stereotyping of age groups through a wide range of different projects.
