At Rhondda Housing Association we believe that loving where you live and being involved in your community is important to the way you both manage and live in your home. We work with our tenants and in communities to better understand what tenants need and how we can be better.
The Community Engagement Team has 6 key areas of work:
Get Involved (Tenant Involvement)
Tenants can help us with reviewing our services and having a say over the way we work and the things we do.
Get on Board – Tenants who volunteer with us as part of Get Involved can progress to taking part in Board membership training.
Get Set (Tenancy support)
If you have been a tenant for less than 12 month and would like support to better manage your home, we can help. We can provide support with your benefits and managing your rent, with getting more involved in the community you live in and can find the right people to help with other, more specific needs.
Get Skilled (Training & Work placement)
We can support you with gaining new skills, building your confidence or improving your health. Our projects range from Health & Wellbeing sessions, to digital skills and IT classes, we can also help with building essential skills (reading and writing) and money management.
Get Together (Volunteering)
If tenants are looking to get out of the house and give something back to their community, we can also support with finding a suitable opportunity.
We work in local communities to support local groups and projects, including tenant and resident groups. We can help you to find out what’s available where you live.
This video shows our feedback event, where we updated our tenants on the difference their involvement had made and listened to why they take part .
