Luke Takeuchi – Chief Executive
Luke has worked in the housing sector for over 16 years within local authorities and housing association’s in England and Wales. He qualified with an MSc in Housing from Cardiff University. He is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Following several years working for local authorities in Wales, Luke moved to England to work for Places for People Group, one of the largest property management and development companies in the UK. Luke overseen large multi functional teams and led on regeneration projects and operations in the South West and North West of England whilst working as the Regional Manager.
In 2014 Luke returned to live in and work in Wales and begin his new role as Director of Housing Services with Rhondda Housing Association where he led on the transformation of the association’s housing services, implementing new performance software and re-designing the structure of the team to significantly improve performance. Following 4 years in this post Luke took up the role of Chief Executive at RHA in 2018.
Sean Tristham – Director of Development and Asset Management
Having had a varied career in his formative years working at places such as H.M Land Registry, Aardmam Animation and Telecom Australia Sean began his Housing Career in 1998 at Swansea Housing Association as a Development Officer. His time at Swansea (soon to become Coastal) saw him develop a swathe of mixed-use, mixed tenure schemes from one off bespoke bungalows to large estate and town centre regeneration schemes. He played a pivotal role in assembling Coastal’s flagship Urban Village Scheme.
Sean joined the Association in February 2011 as the Director of Development and Asset Management. Starting with a blank canvas the past four years has seen us develop over 200 new units on a mixed use, mixed tenure basis. The current approved programme is circa £10m
Brian Pickett – Director of Finance & IT
Brian is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, having qualified in 1994 and more recently obtained an executive MBA from Warwick Business School. He has worked across the public and private sectors, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Standard Chartered Bank, the Audit Commission and National Audit Office. He joined Rhondda Housing Association as its Finance Director in January 2015, following a period with Welsh Government. At Welsh Government he was the Head of Innovative Funding for Housing and Regeneration and oversaw the implementation of the Welsh Housing Bond with M&G Investments and a new revenue funding stream to deliver 1,000 new affordable homes across Wales.
